Ian is a dedicated and hard-worker that is also funny and jovial to work with. I really enjoyed working with him and welcome the opportunity to work together again. Bottom line, Ian will do what it takes to get the job done, often working long hours and on the weekend to ensure his commitments are met.

Ian is an inspiring transformational leader, and one of my role models for entrepreneurship. When we first met, I could tell that he truly understood DevOps as a culture of empathy and enablement (beyond just a set of tools). Ian's task was to bring DevSecOps culture to TELUS, elevating security to a codified standard in our reference architecture and application delivery pipelines, and enabling security to permeate our entire development culture. Rather than security being an afterthought, he ensured that experiences were to be secure-by-design, while eliminating as much toil as possible from the evaluation process. He has tackled this beast in a number of ways, through astute observation & collection of data, entertaining presentations, managerial workshops, process modeling, etc. He did this all while improving the way that we collaborate holistically, by normalizing the team around decision protocols and other sound facilitation techniques. Ian constantly backs up his opinions with data, focuses on outcomes rather than ego, owns his outcomes, and delivers on them with intensity and a high degree of collaborative effect. I would highly recommend working with Ian and Stack Aspect to establish your own DevSecOps culture!
